The National Institute of Design (NID) conducts the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) every year to evaluate a candidate’s creativity, imagination, analytical ability, and design thinking. The NID 2025–26 syllabus is divided into two stages – DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

NID DAT 2025–26 Exam Structure
The NID DAT is a two-stage process:
DAT Prelims: Written test to shortlist candidates
DAT Mains: Studio Test + Personal Interview
