About NID
The National Institute of Design (NID) has officially released the NID DAT 2025–26 notification for admission to B.Des and M.Des programs. Aspirants aiming for the upcoming academic year can now access key details, including application dates, exam schedule, eligibility, and syllabus. The NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is the gateway to India’s most prestigious design institutes.
Programs Covered
Bachelor of Design (B.Des) – 4 years, full-time program
Master of Design (M.Des) – 2.5 years, postgraduate program
Admissions available at NID campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh

Sample Papers & Mock Tests
Exam Structure
DAT Prelims: Pen-and-paper test evaluating creativity, drawing, and design aptitude.
DAT Mains: Studio test + personal interview for shortlisted candidates.
Final selection is based on combined scores of both stages.
Eligibility Overview
For B.Des:
Candidates must have completed or be appearing for 10+2 in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Upper age limit: 20 years as of 1 July 2025 (relaxations for reserved categories).
For M.Des:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline.
Upper age limit: 30 years as of 1 July 2025 (relaxations applicable).
